tcaaWelcome to Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport, the Tri-City area of Tennessee. Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and surrounded by beautiful TVA lakes, the Tri-City metro is the fourth largest area in Tennessee and is located in the northeast corner of the state next to Virginia and North Carolina. The Tri-City area is easily accessed by Interstate 26, Interstate 81 and minutes away from the Tri-City Regional Airport. Our area is within a day's drive of more than half the nation's population.

This historical area was known as "The Wild Frontier". Home to explorers Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett. The home of our 17th president, Andrew Johnson. Rocky Mount, the first headquarters of the Southwest Territory.

Historical Jonesborough is the state's oldest town and home of The National Storytelling Center.

Bristol is a twin city with one side of downtown State Street being in Tennessee and the other half in Virginia. Bristol is "The Birthplace of Country Music". Bristol Motor Speedway is the world's fastest NASCAR half-mile track and is a huge attraction for race fans as is hearing the thunder of roaring engines at the Bristol Dragway.

Kingsport is known as "The Model City" and as, the other cities in the Tri-Cities, are rich in history and scenic splendor. The restored Netherland Inn was a popular rest stop for Presidents Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson and James K. Polk.

The Appalachian Trail snakes its way across 2,155 miles from Georgia to Maine and is easily accessible from several locations. Also, the Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469 mile drive through the ever-changing vistas, which begins in the Shenandoah National Park near Waynesboro, Virginia and ends in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in western North Carolina.

Again, welcome to our Tri-City area of Tennessee!
